Stories and Poetry
from Buddhist Friends
This section, "Stories and Poetry from Buddhist Friends," is about the experiences and anecdotes of the Sangha, the brothers and sisters on the way of wisdom and enlightenment. The Karma Kagyu lineage deals directly with experience, and life is the battlefield where enlightenment is won. The meaning of the word Karmapa, the head of the lineage, is "Man of Action." We want to receive your anecdotes and life experiences, as a way to keep close ties and learn from each other.

Jette wrote: "I entered an international competition last year with one of my buddhist poems. The result is now that I was published in International Library of Poetrys anthology "Awaken to a Dream" (another great title for a buddhist, don't you think). I was given "Editors Choise Award for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry", elected into "The International Poetry Hall of Fame" and have just received a letter saying I'm nominated "Poet of the Year 1997".
